The Baltimore Ravens couldn’t have asked for a much stronger conclusion to the preseason.

Baltimore dominated Washington from the opening quarter Friday night, rolling to a 41–3 victory and finishing its preseason schedule with a perfect 3–0 record.

The Ravens led 14–0 after the first quarter and 24–0 at halftime, while Washington didn’t get on the scoreboard until the third quarter. Baltimore ultimately outgained Washington 456 yards to 177 while averaging 6.6 yards per offensive play.

Baltimore’s Quarterbacks Deliver

Veteran Tyler Huntley started and immediately provided a spark. He completed all four of his passes for 61 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown connection with Chris Moore on Baltimore’s opening possession.

Rookie Joe Fagnano followed Huntley and delivered another productive performance, completing 19 of 27 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown while also scoring on a one-yard quarterback run.

Austin Reed later added another touchdown pass, connecting with Cornelius Johnson for 20 yards in the fourth quarter.

Ravens Defense Sets the Tone

Baltimore’s defense made its presence felt almost immediately.

On Washington’s first offensive snap, Ethan Burke forced a fumble from Kaytron Allen, with C.J. Okoye recovering. Baltimore turned the takeaway into another touchdown and a 14–0 first-quarter advantage.

Washington’s offense never recovered.

The Commanders managed only 45 yards and one first down in the first half, compared with Baltimore’s 206 yards and 17 first downs. Washington’s only points came on a 39-yard field goal by D.J. Stevens in the third quarter.

The preseason results won’t count once the regular season begins, but Baltimore accomplished what it wanted: depth players received significant opportunities, several roster hopefuls made strong final impressions, and the Ravens walked away undefeated.

Now comes the difficult part.

The coaching staff must turn its attention to roster decisions and the final 53-man roster, where performances from players such as Fagnano, Ward, Wester, Moore and others could become significant.

For Baltimore, Friday wasn’t merely a preseason win. It was a commanding final audition before the games begin to count.
